Now semi-retired, she has passed the torch to her son Stuart, a CPA who brings the same integrity, intelligence, and commitment to serving clients and the community. Stuart Jackson
Shareholder
Stuart is a shareholder in The Jackson Group and a Certified Public Accountant, as well as a member of both the Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He serves on the Task Force for the GSCPA’s annual Estate Planning Conference at the Ritz-Carlton Reynolds Plantation and is actively involved in the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, the Georgia Planned Giving Council, and the Atlanta Charitable Advisor Network.
Before joining The Jackson Group, Stuart spent five years in Germany as a civilian employee for the U.S. Department of Defense. In addition to his professional work, he carries on his philanthropic and community involvement with the Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association, the Historic Oakland Foundation as a volunteer and member of the Board of Advisors, and a trustee with the Atlanta Foundation. When he is not cranking out tax returns, he enjoys snow skiing, relaxing in the WNC mountains, and a good glass of wine with his husband, Robyn.

Lou Jackson
Shareholder
Lou founded The Jackson Group, CPAs in 1985 after serving as a tax partner at a large international firm. She wanted a practice centered on client needs rather than billing hours, and many of her former clients joined her—some families now into their 4th generation.
A trailblazer in her field, Lou has served on the GSCPA Ethics Committee and the AICPA Small Business Taxation Subcommittee. She has also led and contributed to numerous professional organizations, including serving as president of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council and as an advisor for Practical Tax Strategies. She has presented widely for GSCPA, ICLE, UGA, and other major tax conferences.
Today, Lou focuses on estate planning and trust tax compliance, bringing the same sharp mind, quick wit, and energy that have made her a respected leader for decades.

Anne Ohiwerei
Tax Associate
Anne graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in Accounting. She also has a Masters in Business Administration from Arizona Global University. Anne began her career in public accounting with The Jackson Group CPAs in 2005 as a tax staff accountant. She also worked as an Operations Manager with Bank of America. Anne is originally from Nigeria and outside work, she loves traveling, trying new restaurants and watching movies.

Adam Smith
Tax Associate
Adam helps clients navigate both the routine and the challenging sides of taxes. As a Tax Associate, he works with individuals and businesses to prepare accurate returns, uncover valuable deductions and credits, and ensure filings are completed on time. In his role as a Resolution Specialist, Adam assists clients in addressing tax issues, communicating with tax authorities, and finding practical solutions to resolve disputes. His detail-oriented approach and up-to-date knowledge of tax laws allow him to guide clients with clarity, confidence, and care.
Adam graduated magna cum laude from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and went on to earn his Master of Taxation degree. Outside of the office, he enjoys playing guitar and collecting music.

EJ Ohiwerei
Reconciliation Specialist
EJ combines his tax expertise with advanced QuickBooks skills to deliver accurate and efficient results for his clients. As a Tax Associate, he prepares precise returns, identifies valuable deductions, and ensures filings meet all deadlines. In his role as a QuickBooks Reconciliation Specialist, EJ helps businesses keep their financial records accurate and organized, making year-end reporting and tax preparation smoother.
Born and raised in the metro Atlanta area, EJ earned his degree from the University of South Carolina Aiken and is currently pursuing his master’s in Data Science at Georgia State University. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer, attending sporting events, and cooking for friends and family.
